These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SAL AI CustomGPT and any public Actions (e.g., Google Scholar via SerpAPI, OpenAlex, arXiv, Jina Reader, GitHub API, Semantic Scholar). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2) Not a substitute for professional advice
The Service is for educational and research purposes only. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on the Service as the sole source for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
3) Your responsibilities
- Provide lawful prompts and content. Do not upload or request illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Respect third-party site terms when following links or using returned data.
- Maintain copies of important materials; the Service is provided “as is”.
4) Acceptable use
- No attempts to bypass safety systems or prompt the model to generate harmful content.
- No reverse engineering of model parameters or scraping that violates providers’ terms.
- No automated high-volume calls intended to degrade the Service or third-party APIs.
5) Third-party services
The Service calls third-party APIs to retrieve public information. Each third party’s terms and privacy policies apply to their processing and use of data.
6) Intellectual property
All logos, branding, and site design are owned by SAL AI. Third-party trademarks and content are the property of their respective owners. You retain rights in your own prompts and uploads, subject to OpenAI’s platform terms.
7) Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. SAL AI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8) Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAL AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
9) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SAL AI from any claim arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10) Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in features or applicable laws. Material changes will be effective upon posting an updated “Last updated” date below.
